Overview
Abridge develops clinical AI connecting patient conversations with documentation and care workflows.
What Abridge does
Abridge turns clinical conversations into draft documentation and structured information for healthcare organizations. Its platform connects pre-visit patient context, the encounter itself, and the documentation that supports follow-up and reimbursement. Clinicians review the resulting notes within their care workflow.
The product has distinct experiences for clinicians, nursing teams and revenue-cycle staff. Clinical notes capture the medical narrative; revenue-cycle workflows support coding specificity; nursing documentation follows care across admission and discharge. Assistant adds source-backed clinical questions and medical calculations, while Care Signals surfaces conditions that may need attention during a visit.
Abridge is designed for deployment across health systems rather than individual audio transcription alone. EHR integration, organizational evaluation and review of clinical outputs are central to that implementation. Its published customer studies describe individual deployments, including work with Kaiser Permanente, Johns Hopkins and Duke Health.
