Overview
Fondo combines a startup accounting platform with a CPA-led service team. It handles bookkeeping, corporate taxes and R&D tax-credit work for founders who want those recurring finance responsibilities managed together.
What Fondo does
Fondo takes responsibility for the recurring books and tax calendar, producing financial statements on the customer’s chosen reporting cadence. The service includes bookkeeping, federal and state corporate income taxes and Delaware franchise-tax work where applicable.
Its platform connects bank, payroll and accounting tools so the team can work from the company’s financial activity. Founders use the resulting reports to understand the profit and loss, balance sheet and runway, while the accounting team manages the underlying process.
R&D tax-credit services sit alongside the accounting and filing work. Fondo helps identify and prepare eligible claims, with the scope depending on the company’s activity. The intended customer is a startup or scaling technology business seeking one coordinated relationship instead of separate bookkeeping, tax and credit providers.
Differentiation
Compared with separate finance vendors
Fondo combines bookkeeping, tax filing and tax-credit work in one platform-and-team relationship, reducing the handoffs between those activities.
Compared with self-service software
A CPA-led team owns the accounting and tax process. The founder receives reporting and communicates with the service rather than operating every workflow alone.
